Black Anvil (2007-present): a Black Metal band from New York, New York, USA.
New York's Black Anvil were created in 2007 by former members of the recently defunct hardcore act Kill Your Idols. The members in question being P.D. (Real Name: Paul Delaney; vocals/bass), G.B. (Real Name: Gary Bennett; guitar), and R.G. (Real Name: Raeph Glicken; vocals/drums). The trio recorded its debut album, Time Insults the Mind, for release through 'Monumentum Records' in 2008, but soon drew the attention of 'Relapse Records', which reissued the LP a year later and put the band on the road opening for Marduk in the summer of 2009. At the same time, Black Anvil were already busy recording their second album in the studio owned by Mark Mendoza of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister, Triumvirate (2010).

Sos (Real Name: Jeremy Sosville; guitars) would add to the band line-up in 2012 for the release of Hail Death (2014). Travis Bacon would replace the departing G.B. in 2017. But 2017 would see the release of As Was featuring only R.G., P.D. and Sos.

A split two track was recorded with Urfaust in 2018 titled Lo-Fi LowLive: Live in the Netherlands.

After the Miles EP (2019), Regenesis (2022) would follow.
