Playing God

Biography

Playing God (2004-2006): a Rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

A

fter several years of experience in the music industry, the five members of Playing God, featuring Mike Dryden (vocals), Jeromy Scott (guitars), Todd Carlson (bass), Mike Davis (guitars) and Sean Gates (drums) came together in 2004. Playing God established their sound by allowing each member to utilize their creative personalities and, at the same time, appeal to the masses. The Playing God debut album Taking for Granted, released in 2005, saw them also launch an extensive line of merchandise and share the stage with national acts, Cage 9, open for (hed)PE, and rocked the stage with Index Case, the Crazy Anglos and many more. However, they seemed to have been short lived as Diskery has no further record of them since nor can find information over the internet; therefore the band is considered defunct.

Footnote: Do not confuse this band with the London, Ontario, Canada instrumental band of the same name.
