Order of Nine

Biography

Order of Nine (1997-present): a Power Metal band from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA.

F

ounded in April 1997, Order Of Nine was under the original banner of Templar. They got their start on a 'Hellion Records' compilation, followed by 'Dwell Records'' Queensryche tribute, Rebellion. Their own debut, A Touch Of Winters Discontent (1999), got Templar shows in their local area opening for such acts as Flotsam and Jetsam, Overkill and Symphony X, to name just three. Their brand of harder edged power metal would come to fruition on their sophomore effort under their new name Order of Nine, Of Once and Future Kings (2001), featuring the membership of Michael DeGrena (vocals), Michael Chiccitt (guitar), Mike Sirera (drums) and Steve Rabinovich (bass).

Tom Donaldson would assume bass for the follow-up Season of Reign (2005), but for A Means to Know End (2008) all of the guitar positions had been replaced and augmented by Wayne Bartley, Scott Haggerty and Steve Pollick respectively; on of the positions made vacant by the death of Michael Chiccitt earlier that year.
