Biography

Deathguy (1993-1997): a Metalcore band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA.

T

aking their inspiration from bands like Unsane and Today is the Day, and taking their name from a line in the John Candy movie, Only the Lonely, Deathguy would form in 1994 under the membership of Tim "Swinger" Singer (lead vocals), Keith Huckins (guitars), Chris "Crispy" Corvino (guitars/backing vocals) and Dave Rosenberg (drums)to release the album Fixation on a Co-Worker (1995) and the EP Screamin' with the Deadguy Quintet (1996), along with two 7 inch's before the line-up would change. That new line-up featured Tim "Pops" Naumann (lead vocals (1996-1997)/bass (1994-1996)), Jim Baglino (bass) and "Big" Chris Pierce (guitars) but split when, during the western leg of their faltering US tour in support of Fixation on a Co-Worker that was plagued by bad booking and lack of funds, when Huckins and Singer left the band and moved to Seattle, Washington to form Kiss It Goodbye. The second formation would split soon after, in 2007.


Footnote: Do not confuse this band with another with the same name from Thailand.
