Souls at Zero (1992-1996): a Thrash Metal band from Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA.

A

merican heavy metal band Souls at Zero, a name taken from a chapter in the book The Great and Secret Show by horror writer Clive Barker, were originally known as Wrathchild America. The name change occurred when Wrathchild America was dropped from 'Atlantic Records' in 1992 in favor of the new Grunge acts sweeping the music scene, and along with it a change in musical style that didn't sell well and the band split in 1996. On 'Energy Rekords' Souls at Zero released three albums in the form of Souls at Zero (1993), A Taste for the Perverse (1995) and the EP Six-T-Six (1994) under the total membership of Terry Carter (guitar/backing vocals (1992-1996)), Shannon Larkin (drums/backing vocals (1992-1994)), Brad Divens (bass/lead vocals (1992-1996)), Jay Abbene (guitar/backing vocals (1992-1996)), Jamie Miller (drums/backing vocals (1994-1996)) and Rich Spillberg (guitar/backing vocals (1995)). After closing, Larkin joined Ugly Kid Joe, and Abbene joined Crowbar, both acts are now also gone.
