Vicious Circle

Biography

Vicious Circle (1997-2006): a Black Metal band from Steinheim, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

T

he nucleus of Vicious Circle came together when guitarist Björn Nübel and Kai Unruhe had thought about founding a band. Shortly after having found a drummer and a bass player, they practiced the first time on February 21st in 1997. During the first months they covered some songs, mostly old songs by Metallica. Some months after their first rehearsals, singer Christoph Piesk joined when he was discovered singing metal classics by Helloween at a party, and their first gigs followed in September 1998 when Manuel Köster joined the band. Shortly later, Björn took over the drums after the splitting of his former black metal band Motsognir at the beginning of 2000.

Vicious Circle - Live on Stage appeared in 1999.

Their 2001 demo Beneath A Dark Sky would follow, with their EP, This Forest's Dark Heart (2003), arriving now with the solidified line-up of Christoph Piesk (vocals), Christina Schröder (female vocals), Kai Unruhe (guitars), Björn Nübel (guitars), Manuel Köster (bass) and Björn Spilker (drums). The act didn't record again and split in 2006.
