eaturing the membership of Gary Capriotti (vocals), John Plumley (guitars), Dave Carr (bass) and Chuck Stadulis (drums), Anvil Bitch played basic, speedy, early-Metallica inspired thrash metal, with vocals that alternated between semi-shouted and high-pitched wailing. The band garnered a fair underground following with their debut and only recording Rise to Offend in 1986 on the 'New Renaissance' label but ultimately fell by the wayside, like most other indie thrash bands of that era.

The act would reform, however, in 2008 to release Sanctify EP (2008) featuring the membership of Dave Carr (bass), Chuck Stadulis (drums), John Plumley (guitars) and Gary Capriotti (vocals.
