Domain's history is in two phases; the RRCA has only the brief second part on file.
In early 2001 guitarist, and only remaining original member, Axel Ritt would resurrect Domain to return featuring the line-up of Carsten "Lizard" Schultz (vocals), Axel "Ironfinger" Ritt (guitar/back. vocals), Erdmann Lange (keyboards), Dirk Dingens (bass) and Edgar Schmidt (drums) to record their critically acclaimed One Million Light Years From Home, their first album in ten years. After touring with Bonfire in April they would finally headline in October with Swedish act Shakra and German act Hotwire as support. In 2002 they launched their largest opus yet titled The Artefact, an album of modern melodic Rock music mixed with fantasy lyrics and even a copy of the Beatles Day Tripper. Using styles and looks of both the 1980s and 1990s The Artefact received critical acclaim.
