Basically, Texas based Juggernaut was a standard Heavy Metal act but with Progressive Metal overtones on their time changes and riffs. Their songs came across as being disjointed probably due to them trying too hard to be different, leaving their 1986 debut Baptism Under Fire to fall flat with the line-up of Harlan Glenn (vocals), Eddie Katilius (guitar), Scott Womack (bass) and Bobby Jarzombek (ex-Spastic Ink/ex-Riot/later of Halford; drums). With Steve Cooper (ex-Slayer (Texas)) on vocals they tried again with Trouble Within in 1987 to no avail. Wombak would recruit a whole new line-up thereafter but other than a single track for a local compilation no recordings resulted until 1993 when they finally split.
Footnote: Do not confuse this act with the Minnesota based Juggernaut.
