ith the merging of Cradle of Filth members Paul Ryan (guitar/backing vocals), Paul Allender (guitar), Benjamin Ryan (keyboards), and Darren J. White (vocals) of Anathema, Blood Divine opened with the addition of Steve Maloney on bass and would proceed to release Awaken (1996), Mystica (1997) and the posthumous "best of..." compilation, Rise Pantheon Dreams (2002), were albums of dark, gothic metal along the lines of Anathema. The band split in 1998 with White since forming Dead Men Dream.
