Cretin

t would be under the membership of Dan Martinez (vocals/guitars), Matt Widener (bass) and Col Jones (drums) that Cretin (not to be confused with the Dutch thrash metal band of the same name from 1988 that released only a single compilation) got its start with the release of the EP Cretanic Grind Ambush (2004). This start, however, was after a long split between 1996 & 2001 because Widener left to join the Marines, while Martinez started a career in video game production leaving the EP to be produced and released after the act's reformation.

After the split, 4 Hits from Hell (2006) with Grave Robbers, Tumorhead and Crow, Cretin would follow-up with Freakery (2006) and Stranger (2014); the second featuring Elizabeth Schall (guitars). In 2015 Col Jones would depart.
